Another picture of Kangana Ranaut looking regal on the sets of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has hit the airwaves. Donning a gorgeous maroon saree and some stunning jewellery, Kangana redefines power and dominance in the click. Although the makers of Manikarnika are yet to unveil the first look of the film, our excitement has already shot through the roof for the historical epic.

To achieve authenticity with Kangana’s look, designer Neeta Lulla and the makers of Manikarnika have teamed up with the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) to produce the fabric.

"We want to stay true to history. In December, we discussed the costumes for this final schedule with Neeta, and chose to approach the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) to procure the fabric. Neeta has designed amazing pieces, ones that have never been seen before. We also plan to showcase the costumes at an event in the coming months as part of the film' promotions," producer Kamal Jain had earlier told Mid-Day.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is being directed by Telugu filmmaker Krish. The film is scheduled to release later this year and rumoured to clash with Akshay Kumar’s Gold.
