Gurgaon First celebrates Women's Day highlighting the role of women bringing social change
Gurgaon First celebrated International Women's Day on March 8,2017 at Auditorium, Artemis, Sector 51, Gurugram. The event showcased the works of six Gurugram women who have making a difference in the social sector. These women were Ms Shanti Hiranand ( singer), Ms Kamal Capoor ( educationalist), Dr Kalpana Vishwanath ( Co-founder, safetipin), Ms Monica Khanna Gulati ( co-founder NCR Waste Matters), Art Jaiman (Station Director-Gurgaon Ki Awaaz) Ms Ruchi Rai ( Rotarian and social worker). Each of the six speakers shared their inspirational stories with the audience. The talks focussed on their journey, work and challenges they faced in their diverse fields of excellence. The event also showcased the creative talents of two women,Ms Sujatha Kumar and Ms Jyotika Vij who have kept alive their passion of singing and poetry alive along with pursuing their professional careers. About 200 people from all walks of life attended the get together.
